Although Trols are famous for living in caves and under bridges, we suspect that most of our cyclists would prefer someplace nicer. Jefferson has a wide selection of accommodations including two historic hotels and some of the nicest bed and breakfasts in Texas. We recommend the convenience of the downtown hotels or a nearby B&B since the main gathering area for the rally is the Russell Building in the heart of downtown.

Be sure to mention you are with the TROLS Tandem Rally group when making reservations. Some of the B&B’s will make breakfast available earlier than normal to accommodate the morning start times of guests riding in the TROLS Rally. This varies by B&B, so you need to check.

The Excelsior House |
The Historic Jefferson Hotel |
These two stately hotels in downtown Jefferson are rich with history and furnished with period antiques. The hotels were built during the town's heyday in the 1850's. The Excelsior House is the second oldest hotel in Texas and was constructed for riverboat captain William Perry. Escorted historical tours of the rooms at the Excelsior House are available at 1 & 2 PM. The Historic Jefferson Hotel, which is across the street, started as a cotton warehouse in 1851 and was renovated over the years into various hotels and even a brothel for a time. Oh, and by the way…it's haunted!
